Overnight at hotel in Delhi.

After breakfast visit of old and New Delhi.  With India Personal tours and your private tour guide you will get to see authentic and real Delhi. We will take you to Old Delhi where you will enjoy heritage walking tour. Old Delhi is fascinating and a total contrast to New Delhi. Shajahan the fifth Mughal emperor shifted his capital from Agra to Delhi. We start our walk through Silver street, Decoration market (Kinari Bazaar), Food street (Parathe wali Gali), Spice Market (Khari Baoli). It is Asia's biggest wholesale spice market. You will be mesmerized once you enter the market with the sight of various spices and dry fruits accompanied with a rich smell of each.

After we visit Old Delhi, drive to India Gate, a memorial to 70,000 soldiers who died during the First World War. Drive past Parliament house, President house. Later visit of Humayu's tomb and Qutab Minar. Both are classified as world heritage sites by UNESCO. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

After breakfast, set out for a full day of exploring Delhi's remarkable blend of ancient heritage, architectural brilliance, and spiritual landmarks.

Begin your tour with a visit to the magnificent Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's tallest brick minaret. Surrounded by beautifully preserved ruins and intricate Indo-Islamic architecture, the complex offers a fascinating insight into Delhi's medieval history.

Continue to the serene Lotus Temple, one of the city's most iconic landmarks. Renowned for its striking lotus-shaped architecture, this Bahá'í House of Worship welcomes visitors of all faiths and provides a peaceful setting for quiet reflection and meditation.

Next, visit Gandhi Smriti, the former residence of Mahatma Gandhi and the place where he spent the final months of his life. The museum beautifully preserves his personal belongings, photographs, and exhibits that chronicle his philosophy of peace, non-violence, and India's freedom movement.

Later, proceed to the spectacular Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple, an architectural masterpiece showcasing India's rich spiritual traditions, intricate stone carvings, and timeless craftsmanship. The temple complex is celebrated for its magnificent architecture, beautifully landscaped gardens, and inspiring cultural exhibitions (subject to operating hours and weekly closure).

Throughout the day, your expert guide will share fascinating stories and historical insights, bringing Delhi's rich cultural legacy to life. After an enriching day of sightseeing, return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Delhi.

After breakfast, drive to Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the magnificent Agra Fort, the royal residence of the Mughal emperors. Overnight stay in the Hotel.

This morning, rise early for a sunrise visit to the magnificent Taj Mahal, undoubtedly one of the world's most celebrated architectural masterpieces and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Return to your hotel for breakfast before continuing with a comprehensive exploration of Agra's rich Mughal heritage.

Your next visit is to the impressive Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of India's most important historical monuments. Constructed primarily by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century and later expanded by successive Mughal rulers, this vast red sandstone fortress served as the principal residence of the Mughal emperors.

Continue to the exquisite Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, often referred to as the "Baby Taj." This elegant mausoleum, commissioned by Empress Nur Jahan for her father, represents an important transition in Mughal architecture and is considered a precursor to the Taj Mahal.

After lunch at a local restaurant, visit Mehtab Bagh, a serene Mughal garden situated on the opposite bank of the Yamuna River. Designed as part of a series of riverside gardens, it offers one of the finest panoramic views of the Taj Mahal. The tranquil setting provides excellent opportunities for photography and a unique perspective of the monument away from the crowds.

If time permits, explore Agra's vibrant local markets, renowned for their marble craftsmanship, leather goods, traditional textiles, and handicrafts. Observe skilled artisans practicing techniques that have been passed down through generations since the Mughal era. Return to your hotel in the evening. Overnight stay in Agra.

After breakfast drive to Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan known as Pink City. On the way visit of Abhaneri stepwell. Continue to Jaipur.
In India’s Pink City, the streets are filled with palaces, temples and, sometimes, cows. Street markets are awash in color and handicrafts, and Hindu temples can be found nearly every 100 yards. The fortified city of Jaipur was founded in 1727 by Sawai Jai Singh II. Jaipur was established on the plain and built according to a grid plan interpreted in the light of Vedic architecture. Jaipur is believed to be the first planned city of India. Arrive and check into hotel. In the evening you will visit Govind Dev ji temple and witness the prayer ceremony. Overnight in Jaipur.

Visit of Hawa Mahal, also known as ‘Palace of Winds’, was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799 A.D. There are 953 small windows in the palace, known as ‘Jharokhas’. The reason for the king to build this palace was to let the royal ladies see the streets of the city and observe day-to-day life without being seen by any outsider. Then you will visit Amber Palace located 11 km from Jaipur. The Amber Palace houses palaces, gardens, halls and temples which were built by Raja Man Singh, Raja Jai Singh and Sawai Jai Sing II. Return to city and enjoy a heritage walking tour in Old city. With authentic walking tours we aim to bring alive all the diverse elements of city’s living heritage. Whether traditional temples, monuments and building, or living craft and culture, or tradition cuisines like sweets making. The entire heritage of people, culture and architecture becomes appealing through the process of walking leisurely and engaging with the community along our City Walks. Our unique walking tours will present you a rare glance into the rich history and culture of these fascinating cities, that only walking can give. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and depart for Delhi International Airport. The drive offers a final opportunity to reflect on the many memorable experiences and remarkable sights encountered throughout your journey, from magnificent monuments and royal palaces to vibrant cities and rich cultural traditions.

A wonderful journey that will be remembered
Our seven-day trip with India Personal Tours through northern India – with stops in Jaipur, Agra and Delhi – was a very special experience in every respect. From the warm welcome by our great guide Kunal Singh Shekhawat at the airport to the departure day we felt superbly looked after and accompanied by our guide as well as our friendly driver Vipin. From the very beginning, a very personal, warm atmosphere was created. It didn’t feel like a classic guided tour, but rather like traveling with a good friend. This openness, cordiality and attention has marked our journey from the beginning and has given it a special lightness. In addition to the many exciting insights into history, culture and architecture, it was above all the personal exchange that made this trip so enriching. The conversations, the small details and the fine sense of what interests us made every day special. We look back on this trip with great gratitude and can recommend India Personal Tours with complete conviction. It was an all-round successful experience and we very much hope that in the future there will be another opportunity to travel together.  ...Read More

A Great First Trip to India
India Personal Tours made our first trip to India exceptional. We visited six cities over two weeks, most in Rajasthan, and our guides and drivers -- all friendly and caring -- made sure we got the most out of every site, including some unplanned stops. The hotels Manu and his team chose for us were all also first rate. The company met all our expectations, and we're already planning a trip back!  ...Read More

What a ride through Rajasthan!
Far beyond anything we could have ever imagined for our first trip to India. We joined India Personal Tours, and a small group of like-minded folks, for an amazing 14-day ride through Rajasthan. An unbelievable itinerary took us to places we would never have found under our own steam, from the wonderful chaos of Dehli to small rural villages like Narlai and so many more mind-blowing towns and cities in between, there were unforgettable experiences at every turn. Each new hotel we arrived at seemed better than the last, and we often found ourselves awestruck at where we were staying. Our expert guide, Gudu was absolutely brilliant. Always on hand to share his wealth of knowledge and tips on each location - covering everything with a broad historical, cultural, architectural, gastronomical and spiritual perspective that made each new experience all the richer. Not a bad singing voice either! Gudu also had an uncanny knack for ‘herding the kittens’ of our group, his bright green beret and big smile became a beckon for us as we wandered through crowded temples, havelis and bazaars. He created a warm family atmosphere among our group, was flexible enough to tailor days for our group and even welcomed us into his own family home when we visited the Golden City of Jaisalmer. Big shout out to our unflappable driver, Dev too. The bus rides were super comfy, but I think we managed every to sample every other mode of transport possible too, from crazy rickshaws and tuk-tuk rides, to camels, elephants and even bullock drawn carts!I could go on and on, but we would thoroughly recommend India Personal Tours whether you’ve been to India before or it’s your first time. Halfway through our travels we were already planning our next trip.  ...Read More
