These temples, mirroring the sensuous images of both men and women also lead to shed some lights on the medieval Hindu and Jain cultures.

Built in the mediaeval century by the Chandela Dynasty, the UNESCO site of 'Khajuraho Group of Monuments' is famous for its Nagara-Style architecture and graceful sculptures of nayikas (Hindu Mythological female protagonists) and deities. The splendour of the intricate statues is one of the reasons that makes it a popular site to visit among tourists. Built between 950-1050 AD by the Chandela Dynasty, these temples represent various forms of meditation, spiritual teachings and relationships through stimulating art. Orchha is wrapped in legends of feudal chivalry and romance packs more history into every square metre than even Agra or Udaipur.

The Orchha fort and the cenotaphs or the ‘chattris’ dotted around the town tell an interesting story of all the local Hindu kings that ruled the Bundelkhand kingdom from Orchha. Orchha is also home to a beautiful testament to Mughal Architecture, The Jahangir Mahal. Jahangir the Mughal ruler was half-Rajput, and this was reason enough for the Rajput King of Orchha to commission its construction as a symbol of their friendship. You will visit Ram Raja temple, Jahangir Palace, a palace built for the Mughal emperor Jehangir’s  one-night visit to Orchha in the 17th Century – such was the obsequious flattery shown towards the emperor of India by the local rulers. With a name that means 'peaceful garden', Amanbagh boutique hotel is a whisper-quiet retreat on the outskirts of Jaipur. This uber-luxurious resort in a rural corner of Rajasthan’s Alwar district is all about sustainability and community.
