It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed in India. The noises, the smells, things bumping into you, movement all around – it’s a true assault on the senses. But the chaos is just a collection of small, individual stories and when you start to slow down and witness these stories, you see the world around you in a very different way. Even in areas that seem dirty, there’s great beauty and optimisom to be found. There is always a positivity and optimism even when you see and perceive negative things along the way.
Calm and beauty in chaos:
Landscapes, architecture, clothes, language, food and gestures may all look different. But the more time you spend with people from other countries the more you learn to realise how similar we all are. Students joking around with their friends, an old man catching up on the latest cricket scores in the paper, kids playing pranks on each other followed by a scolding from mum for getting their clothes dirty and the elderly sitting around discussing local politics.
We devise an itinerary together based on the best photographic opportunities –be they seasonal or cultural. And we avoid the common tourist trails as much as possible. No 5 star hotel, but the raw culture and experience. You need to prepare well in advance your photographic trip to India. India the biggest democracy in the world can be dirty, chaotic, intoxicating, crazy, exasperating, wonderful, squalid, beautiful, overwhelming and fantastic. Therefore India is all these things, and more. What truly sets our photo walks in India apart is the ability to integrate technical skills with cultural experiences seamlessly. Building on our exploration through photo walks let’s dive into the different themes and experiences of photography through our India photo tour.

Some of them bark orders to the labourers that move bags of leaves and spices from stall to stall, heaving them up onto enormous weighing scales. Others huddle in groups, gossiping and playing cards in clouds of cigarette smoke, crumpled roll-ups clenched between their teeth. Some are fast asleep. Khari Baoli is home to Asia’s largest spice market and the Gadodia Market building is the epicentre. The piles of colourful, fragrant spices are perfect for adding a splash of colour to your Instagram feed, but like with Chandni Chowk, the best photos you can take here are of people, specifically the spice porters working away in the bustle of the market.

It is every bit as disorderly as India’s other major cities; traffic-clogged streets awash with autorickshaws and honking tuk-tuks, only here there are the added obstacles of lanky camels and plodding elephants dawdling through the labyrinthine streets of the Pink City.

Jaipur streets & Bazars: Jaipur, with its vibrant markets, colorful bazaars, and rich cultural heritage, is the perfect canvas for photography. The faces of the city, from shopkeepers and street vendors to travelers and residents, are all part of the larger mosaic that makes up the essence of Jaipur. Through your lens, you’ll have the chance to explore the layers of emotions, expressions, and untold stories reflected in every passerby, capturing these moments in ways that reveal more than just the surface. Whether it’s the elderly man sitting outside a chai stall, lost in thought, the child playing in the alleyways, or the shopkeeper’s face lighting up as he arranges his wares, each face tells its own unique story. And it’s up to you to tell that story through your photographs.
In this photo walk, we will be experimenting with a different concept and idea that moves away from the conventional. The goal is to push boundaries, engage in creative thinking, and see the streets of Jaipur through a fresh lens. We will focus on spontaneity—catching moments as they happen.
