Upon your arrival at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative, who will be waiting in the arrivals hall with a personalized placard displaying your name. You will then be escorted to your private vehicle for a comfortable transfer to your hotel.

Begin your day in Old Delhi, the historic heart of the capital, where bustling streets, vibrant bazaars, and centuries-old monuments offer an authentic glimpse into the city's rich past. Enjoy a traditional rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk, one of India's oldest and most vibrant marketplaces, renowned for its colorful shops, street life, and historic charm.

Continue with a visit to the famous Khari Baoli Spice Market, Asia's largest wholesale spice market, where the aromas of exotic spices, herbs, dried fruits, and teas create an unforgettable sensory experience. Continue to the peaceful Lodhi Gardens, a beautifully landscaped park dotted with magnificent 15th-century tombs, offering a tranquil escape in the heart of the city.

Conclude your sightseeing with a visit to Humayun's Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture. Built in the 16th century, this magnificent monument is widely regarded as the architectural inspiration for the Taj Mahal.

After an enriching day discovering the many facets of Delhi, return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart by road for Agra, the historic city that served as the capital of the Mughal Empire for several generations.

Upon arrival in Agra, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax before beginning your afternoon sightseeing.

Later, visit the magnificent Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture in India. Built primarily of red sandstone by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century and later enhanced by his successors, the fort houses a remarkable collection of palaces, audience halls, courtyards, and mosques. Continue to Mehtab Bagh, a beautifully restored Mughal garden situated on the opposite bank of the Yamuna River. En route, visit Abhaneri, a small village famous for the remarkable Chand Baori stepwell, one of the largest and deepest stepwells in India. En route, stop to visit the unique Om Banna Temple (Bullet Baba Temple) near Pali. This unusual roadside shrine is dedicated to Om Singh Rathore, whose Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle is believed to possess miraculous powers. According to local legend, after a fatal accident, the motorcycle repeatedly returned to the accident site despite being taken away by the authorities. Today, travellers from across India stop here to offer prayers for a safe journey, making it one of Rajasthan's most fascinating and unconventional places of worship.

After the visit, continue your scenic drive through the rugged countryside and granite landscapes of the Aravalli region to Jawai.

Today is dedicated to exploring the extraordinary wilderness of Jawai, one of India's most unique wildlife destinations, where wild leopards have peacefully coexisted with the local Rabari community for generations. The region's dramatic granite hills, rocky caves, open grasslands, and the Jawai Dam create an exceptional habitat for wildlife and offer some of the best opportunities in India to observe leopards in their natural environment.

Begin the day with an early morning jeep safari, accompanied by an experienced naturalist and local tracker. Venture deep into the rugged granite landscape in search of the elusive Indian Leopard, often seen resting atop the massive boulders or moving gracefully through the rocky terrain. In addition to leopards, you may encounter striped hyenas, Indian foxes, jungle cats, nilgai, chinkara, crocodiles near the Jawai Dam, and a rich variety of resident and migratory birdlife.

Return to your lodge for breakfast and spend the late morning and early afternoon at leisure, relaxing amidst the peaceful surroundings or enjoying the facilities of your accommodation.

In the late afternoon, set out on your second jeep safari, exploring another section of the Jawai landscape as wildlife becomes more active during the cooler hours of the day. After breakfast, check out from your lodge and drive towards Udaipur, the enchanting City of Lakes. En route, visit the magnificent Ranakpur Jain Temples, one of the most spectacular examples of Jain architecture in India and a true masterpiece of marble craftsmanship.

Nestled in the serene Aravalli Hills, the 15th-century temple complex is dedicated to Tirthankara Adinath, the first Jain Tirthankara. Admire the temple's extraordinary architecture, featuring 1,444 intricately carved marble pillars, each with a unique design, along with beautifully sculpted ceilings, ornate domes, and exquisitely detailed halls. Your guide will explain the history, symbolism, and spiritual significance of this remarkable monument, regarded as one of Rajasthan's finest architectural treasures.

Your first visit is to the magnificent City Palace, the largest palace complex in Rajasthan.

Continue to the beautiful Jagdish Temple, located just outside the City Palace. Dating back to the 17th century, this impressive Indo-Aryan temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is renowned for its finely carved pillars, sculpted ceilings, and detailed stonework.

Later, visit the serene Saheliyon Ki Bari (Garden of the Maidens), a delightful royal garden created for the queens and ladies of the royal household. Stroll through its lush lawns, marble pavilions, lotus pools, and charming fountains that provide a peaceful retreat from the bustling city.

In the late afternoon, proceed to Lake Pichola for a memorable boat cruise. Glide across the shimmering waters while admiring the breathtaking scenery surrounding the lake. Pass by the world-famous Lake Palace, seemingly floating on the water, as well as Jag Mandir Island Palace and the historic ghats lining the lake. The cruise offers some of the most spectacular views in all of Rajasthan, particularly as the sun begins to set.

What a ride through Rajasthan!
  Far beyond anything we could have ever imagined for our first trip to India. We joined India Personal Tours, and a small group of like-minded folks, for an amazing 14-day ride through Rajasthan. An unbelievable itinerary took us to places we would never have found under our own steam, from the wonderful chaos of Dehli to small rural villages like Narlai and so many more mind-blowing towns and cities in between, there were unforgettable experiences at every turn. Each new hotel we arrived at seemed better than the last, and we often found ourselves awestruck at where we were staying. Our expert guide, Gudu was absolutely brilliant. Always on hand to share his wealth of knowledge and tips on each location - covering everything with a broad historical, cultural, architectural, gastronomical and spiritual perspective that made each new experience all the richer. Not a bad singing voice either! Gudu also had an uncanny knack for ‘herding the kittens’ of our group, his bright green beret and big smile became a beckon for us as we wandered through crowded temples, havelis and bazaars. He created a warm family atmosphere among our group, was flexible enough to tailor days for our group and even welcomed us into his own family home when we visited the Golden City of Jaisalmer. Big shout out to our unflappable driver, Dev too. The bus rides were super comfy, but I think we managed every to sample every other mode of transport possible too, from crazy rickshaws and tuk-tuk rides, to camels, elephants and even bullock drawn carts!I could go on and on, but we would thoroughly recommend India Personal Tours whether you’ve been to India before or it’s your first time.
